Various tricks and tips relating to the technology of different Mercedes-Benz classics - that was the focus of our first "Classic Car Technology" workshop on 16.03.2024 at the WALLNERWERK in Anzing.
After a short get-together in our showroom, including some refreshments, we started with our workshop. The WALLNER Classic-team presented various components such as engine block, camshaft, connecting rod and piston on a workbench in our workshop.
After the theoretical part, we went directly to the practical part: we took a closer look under the vehicle and into the engine of a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster and looked at a few technical steps on the topics of oil changes and lubrication service and discussed technical details on brakes, carburetors and ventilation. The workshop also included various vehicle optimizations, such as an additional electric fan, heat protection strips and disc brakes.
We then moved on to the next lift with a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda: Here, technical details were also covered and all open questions about the engine, rear axle, etc. were clarified.
The last vehicle in our technology workshop was a particular highlight: A wonderful Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC. We took a closer look at the engine compartment to find out what you need to know about this model and what you should look out for. Also interesting: the various optimization options for this classic - such as the chassis!
Many thanks to our participants for the exciting exchange and the interesting questions on the subject of "classic car technology"!
We look forward to the next workshop on October 19, 2024! Click here to register: Workshop "Season-Closing"
