If you have been dealing with a vehicle as long as we have, you have the pleasure of coming into contact with many motorsport enthusiasts. You talk a lot about the different vehicles and take part at many petrol head talks. Here we always keep getting asked a certain question: How can you make the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL a little bit more of an athlete and less of a flâneur? Our answer: In addition to our popular racing engine and the robust sound of the sports exhaust system, also with a short shifting movement.
The easiest way would presumably be to shorten the shift lever in order to shorten the shift travel. But unfortunately it is not that simple, as this results in two problems: on the one hand, the increased effort and, on the other hand, the changed appearance compared to the original shift gate. These two points we wanted to change and improve.
In addition to the sportiness, the shifting comfort and the preservation of the optical originality were the focus of our development. The special components we manufacture therefore guarantee functionality and an appearance that is true to the original.
Once the installation in the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is complete, the distance from the first to the second gear is up to 60mm shorter. In addition, the shift is much more precise. Fast and sporty shifting is now possible without any problems and you also get a sportier driving experience.
